Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are looking for a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to support our operations in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will perform general maintenance and repair tasks, ensure safe and efficient functioning of equipment, machinery, or facilities, and support preventive maintenance efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, or building facilities
- Perform inspections, troubleshoot issues, and fix mechanical, electrical, plumbing or structural faults (as applicable)
- Conduct preventive maintenance — cleaning, lubrication, testing — to prevent breakdowns
- Handle installation, calibration, and adjustment of equipment when required
- Maintain maintenance logs, records, and documentation of repairs and inspections
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company maintenance standards
- Assist in inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies
- Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other staff for maintenance planning
- Be ready to respond to emergency repairs or breakdowns
Requirements
- High school diploma, technical diploma or relevant certification (preferred)
- Prior experience in maintenance, machine operation, or facility upkeep is a plus
- Basic mechanical/electrical aptitude and willingness to work with tools and equipment
- Ability to work physically (lifting, standing, bending) and handle maintenance tasks safely
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
- Flexibility to work in shifts or respond to maintenance emergencies if required
