Metal Structure Engineers
Job Description
Gener 2 is hiring skilled and experienced Metal Structure Engineers for steel structure design, fabrication planning, structural installation supervision, and industrial construction projects in Albania. The ideal candidate should have practical experience in structural steel engineering, metal framework design, fabrication drawings, load calculations, and project execution for commercial, industrial, and infrastructure developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop steel and metal structural systems for industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects
- Prepare structural calculations, load analysis, and engineering reports for metal framework construction
- Create and review fabrication drawings, shop drawings, and installation layouts for steel structures
- Supervise fabrication, welding, assembly, and on-site installation of metal structural components
- Ensure compliance with structural safety codes, engineering standards, and project specifications
- Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, fabricators, and site teams for smooth project execution
- Inspect steel members, bolts, weld joints, and installation quality to maintain structural integrity
- Monitor project timelines, material requirements, and fabrication schedules
- Perform structural assessments, troubleshooting, and recommend design improvements where required
- Use engineering software such as AutoCAD, Tekla, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, or similar structural tools
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Metal Structure Engineer / Structural Steel Engineer / Steel Design Engineer
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering preferred
- Strong knowledge of steel design, fabrication methods, structural calculations, and installation techniques
- Ability to read and prepare engineering drawings, fabrication plans, and technical documentation
- Knowledge of welding standards, bolt connections, and steel construction codes
- Experience with structural design software is an advantage
- Basic English communication skills preferred
- Strong technical problem-solving skills and project coordination ability
- Experience in industrial plants, bridges, warehouses, or high-rise steel projects is an advantage
