Job Description

Valamar Riviera is hiring hardworking and dedicated Kitchen Helpers for food preparation support, kitchen cleaning, ingredient handling, and hospitality service operations in Croatia. The ideal candidate should have practical experience in kitchen assistance, food preparation, utensil cleaning, stock arrangement, and maintaining hygiene standards in hotels, restaurants, resorts, or catering kitchens.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist chefs and cooks in food preparation, ingredient washing, cutting, and kitchen setup
• Clean vegetables, fruits, meats, and other food items before cooking preparation
• Wash utensils, dishes, kitchen equipment, and maintain cleanliness of workstations
• Organize kitchen supplies, ingredients, and food storage areas properly
• Assist in preparing salads, sauces, garnishes, and basic food items as instructed by chefs
• Support in loading/unloading kitchen inventory, supplies, and food stock management
• Dispose of kitchen waste properly and maintain sanitation in cooking and washing areas
• Ensure kitchen hygiene standards, food safety rules, and cleanliness procedures are followed
• Help during busy meal service hours by supporting cooking and serving staff
• Coordinate with kitchen team members for smooth daily operations

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Kitchen Helper / Kitchen Assistant / Food Preparation Worker preferred
• Basic knowledge of kitchen operations, food hygiene, and cleaning procedures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Physically fit for standing long hours, lifting supplies, and active kitchen duties
• Basic English communication skills preferred
• Team player with strong work ethic, discipline, and time management skills
• Experience in hotels, restaurants, cafés, or catering kitchens is an advantage
