Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive market expansion, increase sales revenue, and develop strong distribution channels within the FMCG sector. The ideal candidate will identify new business opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and implement growth strategies to strengthen brand presence and market share.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across retail, wholesale, and modern trade channels
- Build and manage strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key accounts
- Develop and execute sales and market expansion strategies aligned with company objectives
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behavior to identify growth opportunities
- Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing, promotions, and contracts
- Achieve sales targets, revenue goals, and distribution objectives
- Coordinate with marketing teams to execute product launches, promotions, and in-store activations
- Monitor sales performance, prepare forecasts, and provide regular management reports
- Manage channel partners to ensure effective coverage and product availability
- Identify risks and opportunities to improve profitability and market penetration
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field
- 5–10 years of experience in business development or sales within the FMCG industry
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving market growth
- Strong understanding of FMCG distribution models and trade marketing
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Skills
- MBA or equivalent qualification is an advantage
- Experience in modern trade, key accounts, or international FMCG markets
- Knowledge of pricing strategies, trade promotions, and channel management
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple territories or product lines
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills
