Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Auditor to lead auditing activities, evaluate financial and operational processes, and ensure compliance with internal policies, UAE accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent knowledge of auditing standards, and the ability to mentor junior auditors.

Key Responsibilities:

Audit Planning & Execution

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute audits of financial statements, operational processes, and internal controls.
  • Conduct risk-based audits and assess the effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Ensure audits are completed in compliance with UAE regulations, IFRS, and company policies.

Supervision & Mentorship

  • Supervise and guide junior auditors during audit engagements.
  • Review audit work, reports, and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide training and support to enhance the skills of audit team members.

Financial & Operational Analysis

  • Analyze financial statements, records, and business operations to identify discrepancies, inefficiencies, and risks.
  • Recommend corrective actions, process improvements, and internal control enhancements.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of audit findings to management and stakeholders.

Reporting & Recommendations

  • Prepare comprehensive audit reports with detailed findings, risk assessments, and actionable recommendations.
  • Present audit results to senior management and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Assist in developing and updating internal policies, procedures, and compliance programs.

Compliance & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure adherence to UAE regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and corporate governance practices.
  • Keep updated with changes in auditing standards, financial regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Recommend improvements in audit methodologies and risk management processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional certifications preferred (CIA, CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent).
  • 5–10+ years of experience in auditing, internal controls, or financial compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE accounting standards, IFRS, and auditing principles.
  • Proficiency in audit software, ERP systems, and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
