Purchaser – Construction
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchaser to manage procurement activities for our construction projects in Dubai. The ideal candidate will ensure timely sourcing of materials, equipment, and services, maintaining cost efficiency, quality standards, and supplier reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source, evaluate, and purchase materials, equipment, and services required for construction projects.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate contracts to achieve the best value.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites to prevent delays.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with project teams to anticipate procurement needs.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, costs, and supplier information.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and UAE regulations.
- Assist in resolving procurement-related issues, delays, or disputes with suppliers.
- Support budgeting and cost control by providing accurate procurement data.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in construction.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and market trends.
- Proficiency in procurement and inventory management software.
- Familiarity with UAE procurement regulations and construction industry standards.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with large-scale construction projects.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
