Job Description
A reputable construction and infrastructure company is hiring skilled and experienced Excavator Operators for excavation, earthmoving, trenching, land preparation, and heavy equipment operations on construction and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate should have practical experience operating excavators safely and efficiently for digging, loading, grading, demolition support, and site development work.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate excavators safely and efficiently for digging, trenching, grading, backfilling, and earthmoving activities
- Perform excavation work for foundations, pipelines, roads, drainage systems, and construction projects
- Load soil, sand, gravel, rocks, and construction debris into trucks or designated areas
- Carry out site preparation, leveling, and demolition support work using heavy machinery
- Inspect excavator equipment before operation and report mechanical issues or maintenance needs
- Perform routine maintenance checks including fuel, oil, hydraulics, tracks, and machine cleanliness
- Follow excavation plans, site instructions, and safety regulations during operations
- Operate machinery carefully near underground utilities, pipelines, and construction structures
- Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and ground workers for smooth project execution
- Maintain productivity targets while ensuring safe and efficient machine operation
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as an Excavator Operator / Heavy Equipment Operator / Earthmoving Machine Operator
- Valid heavy machinery operating license/certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of excavation work, grading, trenching, and equipment safety procedures
- Basic knowledge of machine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Ability to work in construction, roadwork, or infrastructure site environments
- Physically fit for demanding outdoor work conditions
- Basic English communication skills preferred
- Team player with strong work ethic and safety awareness
