Asphalt Worker
Job Description
UMB Group is hiring skilled Asphalt Workers for highway, road construction, and resurfacing projects across Romania. This role is ideal for candidates with practical experience in asphalt laying, surface preparation, road repair, and assisting paving machine operations. The ideal candidate should be physically fit, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining safety and quality standards on-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare road surfaces for asphalt application by cleaning, leveling, and compacting
- Assist in laying, spreading, and smoothing hot asphalt materials
- Support asphalt paver and roller machine operations during road construction
- Perform road resurfacing, pothole repairs, and patchwork maintenance
- Use hand tools and construction equipment safely and efficiently
- Monitor work quality to ensure smooth and even asphalt surfaces
- Follow supervisor instructions and project timelines
- Maintain site cleanliness and ensure workplace safety compliance
- Work effectively as part of a road construction team
Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in asphalt paving / road construction work
- Knowledge of asphalt laying techniques and compaction methods
- Ability to handle physically demanding outdoor work
- Familiarity with construction tools and paving equipment
- Basic English communication skills preferred
- Team-oriented, disciplined, and safety-conscious mindset
- Experience in highway construction is an added advantage
- Valid driving license is a plus
