Asphalt Paver Operator – Romania

Job Description

GRU ROADS CONSTRUCT is hiring experienced Asphalt Paver Operators for road and highway construction projects in Romania. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience operating asphalt paving machines, maintaining paving quality, and supporting smooth road construction operations. Candidates must be safety-conscious, physically fit, and able to work efficiently on-site in outdoor conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt paver machines for road construction and resurfacing projects
• Control paving thickness, width, and smoothness according to project specifications
• Monitor asphalt temperature and material flow during paving operations
• Coordinate with roller operators and ground workers for proper compaction
• Perform routine equipment inspection and basic machine maintenance
• Identify and report equipment issues or site hazards
• Ensure paving work meets safety and quality standards
• Follow project plans, technical instructions, and supervisor guidance
• Maintain cleanliness of machinery and work area after operations

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of experience as an Asphalt Paver Operator
• Experience operating asphalt paving machinery and road construction equipment
• Knowledge of asphalt application techniques and compaction processes
• Ability to read basic project instructions and follow site plans
• Physically fit and comfortable working in outdoor environments
• Basic English communication skills preferred
• Team player with strong work discipline
• Valid operator license / heavy machinery certification is a plus
• Driving license preferred
