Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant General to manage and oversee daily accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will support financial decision-making and contribute to the company’s financial stability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting activities and general ledger
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable functions
  • Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and local regulations
  • Manage VAT filings, audits, and statutory compliance
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
  • Coordinate with auditors, banks, and external consultants
  • Support management with financial analysis and reporting.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3–6 years of experience in a general accounting role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Experience with accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)
  • Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations is mandatory
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Professional certifications (CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA)
  • Experience in auditing or corporate accounting
  • Advanced MS Excel and reporting skills
  • Knowledge of IFRS standards
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities.
