Valamar Riviera is hiring skilled and experienced Line Cooks for food preparation, cooking operations, kitchen support, and hospitality service projects in Croatia. The ideal candidate should have practical experience in food preparation, cooking station handling, ingredient management, plating, and maintaining kitchen hygiene standards in hotels, resorts, restaurants, or catering environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook food items according to menu recipes, portion sizes, and kitchen quality standards
  • Handle food preparation tasks including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, marinating meats, and ingredient setup
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens, fryers, mixers, steamers, and cooking stations safely
  • Maintain proper food storage, temperature control, and freshness standards for ingredients
  • Assist in plating and presentation of dishes according to restaurant or hotel service standards
  • Monitor stock levels and report ingredient shortages to kitchen supervisors
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, utensils, cooking equipment, and preparation areas
  • Follow food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and HACCP kitchen procedures
  • Work closely with chefs, kitchen assistants, and service staff for smooth kitchen operations
  • Ensure timely preparation of meals during busy service hours while maintaining taste and presentation quality

Requirements

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Line Cook / Cook / Kitchen Staff / Food Preparation Worker
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety practices
  • Experience working in hotels, restaurants, resorts, cafés, or catering kitchens preferred
  • Ability to operate commercial kitchen tools and cooking equipment safely
  • Understanding of food hygiene, sanitation, and ingredient handling standards
  • Physically fit for standing long hours in a busy kitchen environment
  • Basic English communication skills preferred
  • Team player with strong work ethic, discipline, and time management skills
