Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Telecom Engineer to install, configure, maintain, and support telecom and communication systems across our projects. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in telecommunications infrastructure, network deployment, troubleshooting, and coordination with technical teams and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

Telecom Systems Installation & Maintenance

  • Install, configure, test, and commission telecom systems such as fiber optics, structured cabling, wireless networks, VoIP systems, PBX, radio communication systems, and data communication equipment.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on telecom infrastructure, ensuring continuous uptime and system reliability.
  • Troubleshoot hardware/software issues, identify root causes, and implement permanent solutions.

Network & Infrastructure Support

  • Support deployment and maintenance of LAN/WAN infrastructure, routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
  • Provide technical assistance for connectivity issues, bandwidth management, and network performance optimization.
  • Assist in integration of telecom systems with IT/network systems.

Telecom Project Execution

  • Work with project managers, engineers, and contractors to execute telecom work according to project specifications.
  • Conduct site surveys, prepare technical reports, and support planning, material estimates, and procurement.
  • Ensure telecom installations meet safety, regulatory, and industry standards.

Testing, Documentation & Quality Control

  • Conduct testing, commissioning, and validation of telecom equipment.
  • Maintain detailed records — drawings, test results, cable schedules, as-built documentation, and configuration files.
  • Perform quality checks and ensure compliance with project requirements and client specifications.

Coordination & Vendor Management

  • Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and technical teams for installation, repairs, and system upgrades.
  • Support management during audits, inspections, and technical reviews.
  • Assist in preparing technical proposals, reports, BOQs, and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 2–8+ years of experience as a Telecom Engineer or in telecom/network installation roles.
  • Strong knowledge of telecom systems: fiber optics (FTTH/GPON), structured cabling, VoIP/PBX, RF, microwave, CCTV/ELV systems, wireless networks.
  • Familiarity with network devices: routers, switches, firewalls, and telecom test instruments (OTDR, power meter, splicing tools).
  • Understanding of telecom standards, cabling guidelines, and UAE telecom regulations.
  • Good troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
  • English proficiency required; Arabic is a plus.
  • UAE driving license preferred (for site visits).
