Strabag Romania – Surface Finisher

Job Description

Strabag Romania is hiring skilled and detail-oriented Surface Finishers for large-scale commercial buildings, residential developments, road infrastructure, and civil engineering projects in Romania. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in plaster finishing, concrete surface treatment, smoothing, leveling, repair work, and preparing surfaces for final construction finishes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform surface smoothing, leveling, and finishing on walls, floors, and concrete structures
• Apply plaster, cement compounds, and finishing materials according to project specifications
• Repair cracks, holes, and uneven surfaces to achieve high-quality finishing standards
• Prepare surfaces for painting, coating, tiling, waterproofing, and decorative finishing work
• Carry out grinding, polishing, and final surface treatment where required
• Mix and prepare finishing compounds, cement mortar, and surface materials
• Operate finishing tools, trowels, grinders, and leveling equipment safely
• Inspect finished surfaces for quality, alignment, and smoothness
• Maintain worksite cleanliness and follow company safety standards
• Coordinate with masons, painters, carpenters, and site supervisors for smooth project completion

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Surface Finisher / Plaster Worker / Concrete Finisher / Masonry Finisher
• Strong knowledge of plastering, concrete finishing, smoothing, and repair techniques
• Experience using hand tools, grinders, leveling tools, and finishing equipment
• Ability to read basic construction drawings and measurements
• Physically fit for heavy construction work
• Basic English communication skills preferred
• Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and safety awareness
• Experience in commercial or infrastructure projects is an advantage
