Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead and manage electrical engineering activities on construction projects. The ideal candidate will oversee design coordination, site execution, quality control, and compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and local regulations while ensuring timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and supervise electrical systems for construction projects
  • Review and approve electrical drawings, layouts, and technical submittals
  • Manage site execution of electrical works including power, lighting, ELV, and grounding systems
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and other engineering disciplines
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, DEWA/ADDC/SEWA regulations, and safety standards
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and material procurement
  • Conduct site inspections, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems
  • Resolve technical issues and provide engineering solutions
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers and site supervisors
  • Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and as-built documentation

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 7–12 years of experience in electrical engineering within construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of LV/MV systems, lighting, power distribution, and ELV systems
  • Experience with UAE authority approvals and construction codes
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and electrical design tools
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple site activities and deadlines

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in residential, commercial, and high-rise construction projects
  • Familiarity with international standards (IEC, BS, NEC)
  • Knowledge of project management and cost control
  • UAE driving license
  • Professional certifications or engineering licenses
