Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Purchase Officer to manage procurement activities for a heavy vehicle and equipment workshop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing spare parts, negotiating with suppliers, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring timely availability of materials required for workshop operations. Candidates must have strong market knowledge and experience in automotive/heavy equipment spare parts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers for vehicle and equipment spare parts
  • Procure parts, consumables, tools, and workshop materials at competitive prices
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contracts with vendors
  • Maintain optimum stock levels and monitor inventory movement
  • Create and manage purchase orders, GRN, invoices, and documentation in ERP systems
  • Coordinate with workshop supervisors and technicians to understand requirements
  • Track purchase requests, delivery schedules, and update status reports
  • Develop cost-saving strategies and vendor relationships
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards
  • Resolve supply issues, delays, and discrepancies in order deliveries

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • 3–5 years of experience as Purchase Officer in heavy vehicles, trucks, or equipment workshop
  • Strong knowledge of spare parts for trucks, heavy machinery, hydraulic components, and industrial tools
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills
  • Good understanding of procurement procedures and ERP/Inventory software
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Valid UAE driving license preferred
