Network Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure and high-performing network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will ensure network availability, troubleshoot complex issues, and support the organization’s IT operations across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless network infrastructures
- Install, configure, and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and network devices
- Monitor network performance, availability, and security
- Troubleshoot network issues and implement corrective actions
- Implement network security measures including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls
- Coordinate with ISPs and vendors for connectivity and support
- Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and configuration records
- Support network upgrades, migrations, and expansions
- Assist with disaster recovery and business continuity planning
- Provide technical support and guidance to IT teams and end users
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
- 3–6 years of experience as a Network Engineer or similar role
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching)
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Fortinet, or similar networking equipment
- Familiarity with network security, firewalls, and VPN technologies
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Skills
- Experience in UAE or GCC IT environments
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent
- Knowledge of wireless networking and network monitoring tools
- Exposure to cloud networking (AWS, Azure)
- Good communication and documentation skills
