IT Support Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Support Engineer to provide day-to-day technical support and ensure smooth operation of IT systems across the organization. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, support end users, and help maintain reliable and secure IT services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first- and second-level IT support to users (desktop, laptop, printers, and peripherals)
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and operating systems
- Support Windows OS, MS Office, email systems, and basic network connectivity
- Resolve IT tickets, incidents, and service requests within defined SLAs
- Assist with user account management and access permissions
- Perform routine system checks, updates, and preventive maintenance
- Support network devices, Wi-Fi connectivity, and basic troubleshooting
- Maintain IT asset inventory and support documentation
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers when required
- Assist in IT upgrades, system rollouts, and technology improvements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
- 1–4 years of experience in IT support or helpdesk roles
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, basic networking, and troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals
- Familiarity with Active Directory and basic IT security practices
- Good problem-solving and customer-service skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Preferred Skills
- Experience in UAE or GCC IT support environments
- Knowledge of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft, or equivalent
- Experience with ticketing systems and IT documentation
- Good communication and time-management skills
