Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior IT Project Engineer to lead, manage, and implement end-to-end IT infrastructure and technology projects across multiple business units. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, leadership ability, and hands-on project execution experience, ensuring successful delivery of IT solutions that meet business, security, and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Execution

  • Lead and manage full lifecycle of IT projects — requirements gathering, planning, design, deployment, testing, and go-live.
  • Prepare project scopes, technical proposals, work breakdown structures, timelines, and reporting documents.
  • Coordinate resources, vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution of project deliverables.
  • Ensure projects meet deadlines, budgets, and quality expectations.

Technical Implementation & Engineering

  • Design, configure, deploy, and troubleshoot IT systems including servers, networks, cloud environments, storage, virtualization, backup, security solutions, and enterprise applications.
  • Oversee installation and optimization of LAN/WAN networks, firewalls, wireless systems, and endpoint devices.
  • Lead system migrations, upgrades, integrations, and infrastructure modernization projects.
  • Perform technical audits, system assessments, and capacity planning.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Liaise with clients, management, and cross-functional teams to understand technical requirements and provide strategic IT advice.
  • Communicate project progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders.
  • Manage vendor relationships, procurement, quotations, and coordination for hardware/software deliveries.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain complete project documentation — designs, configurations, change logs, SOPs, test reports, and closure reports.
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, data protection, ISO standards, and organizational IT policies.
  • Support project handover including training sessions, user acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment manuals.

Support & Leadership

  • Act as technical escalation point for complex infrastructure issues.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams.
  • Assist with capacity building, best practices, and strategic IT improvements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Engineering, or related field — relevant certifications beneficial (CCNA/CCNP, MCSE, Azure/AWS, ITIL, PMP).
  • 5–10+ years of experience in IT project engineering, infrastructure implementation, or system integration.
  • Strong knowledge of servers, networking, cloud technologies, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), firewalls, Microsoft 365, backup systems, and security tools.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering medium-to-large scale IT projects.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure with multiple stakeholders.
  • UAE driving license preferred (for on-site project work).
