Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced General Practitioner (ICU) to join our medical team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), assisting specialists, monitoring critical patients, and ensuring high-quality clinical standards.

You will work closely with ICU consultants, nurses, and the critical care team to deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform initial assessment and daily evaluation of ICU patients
• Monitor critically ill patients and respond to changes in condition
• Assist ICU specialists/consultants in procedures and medical interventions
• Manage ventilators, IV lines, medication administration, and emergency care
• Document patient progress, medical notes, and treatment plans accurately
• Coordinate with nursing teams, respiratory therapists, and other departments
• Handle medical emergencies such as cardiac arrest, shock, trauma, and sepsis
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.)
• Ensure full compliance with Dubai Health Authority (DHA) ICU protocols and hospital policies
• Communicate professionally with patient relatives regarding condition updates

Job Requirements:

Educational Qualifications:

• MBBS or equivalent degree from a recognized medical institution
• Postgraduate qualifications (preferred but not mandatory)

Experience:

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in ICU / Critical Care setting
• Strong exposure to emergency and critical patient management
• Experience with ventilator handling, intubation assistance, and ICU monitoring equipment

Licensing Requirements:

• Valid DHA License / DHA Eligibility Letter as a General Practitioner (Mandatory)
• Candidates willing to process DHA licensing may also apply

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong clinical judgment & emergency decision-making skills
• Ability to work in high-pressure ICU environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Knowledge of ICU protocols, infection control, and patient safety standards
• Fluency in English (Arabic/Hindi/Urdu is an advantage)
