Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Communications Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot communication systems and network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure reliable voice, data, and video communications while supporting day-to-day technical operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain communication systems including structured cabling, IP telephony, and data networks
  • Troubleshoot and repair voice, data, and communication connectivity issues
  • Support installation and maintenance of PBX, VoIP, and unified communication systems
  • Perform testing, fault diagnosis, and system upgrades
  • Ensure proper labeling, cabling standards, and documentation
  • Coordinate with engineers and vendors for system deployment and maintenance
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory
  • Follow safety standards, technical procedures, and company policies
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support as required
  • Stay updated with new communication technologies and industry practices

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma or technical certification in Telecommunications, Electronics, IT, or a related field
  • 2–5 years of experience as a Communications Technician or similar role
  • Strong understanding of cabling standards, telecom systems, and basic networking
  • Hands-on experience with VoIP, PBX systems, and communication equipment
  • Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and network layouts
  • Good troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills

Preferred Skills

  • Certifications in telecommunications, structured cabling, or networking
  • Experience with CCTV, access control, and IP-based communication systems
  • Knowledge of fiber optic installation and testing
  • Experience working in UAE or GCC telecom environments
  • Willingness to work on-site, in shifts, or on call
