Construction Manager
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Construction Manager to oversee and manage all phases of construction projects from planning to completion. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in building and infrastructure projects, strong leadership abilities, and proven expertise in managing site teams, subcontractors, and client coordination. Candidates with experience in high-rise building and large-scale construction projects will be given preference.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and manage construction site operations to ensure smooth execution
- Plan project timelines, allocate resources, and monitor project progress
- Coordinate with consultants, architects, subcontractors, suppliers, and authorities
- Review and approve construction drawings, shop drawings, and project specifications
- Ensure work is carried out in compliance with safety standards, quality control, and approved plans
- Monitor cost control, budget allocation, material usage, and project billing
- Identify and resolve technical issues, delays, or conflicts in site activities
- Conduct regular site meetings and prepare progress reports for management and clients
- Approve material requests and assess procurement needs
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and project documentation
- Manage and guide site engineers, foremen, and construction workforce efficiently
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 10–15 years of experience in construction management roles in UAE
- Strong experience in high-rise residential/commercial building projects
- Excellent leadership, planning, and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of project management tools and scheduling software (MS Project / Primavera P6)
- Ability to manage multiple teams and work under pressure
- Strong understanding of UAE building codes, authority approvals, and safety regulations
- Fluency in English required; Arabic is an advantage
- UAE driving license preferred
