Job Description
A reputed restaurant, hotel, or catering service provider in Romania is hiring a skilled Cook to prepare high-quality meals while maintaining hygiene, taste consistency, and kitchen safety standards. The candidate will be responsible for food preparation, cooking, portion control, kitchen cleanliness, and assisting in menu execution according to company standards. The ideal candidate should have good culinary knowledge and experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Prepare meals according to recipes and kitchen standards
✔ Chop vegetables, prepare ingredients, and manage mise en place
✔ Cook meat, seafood, vegetables, rice, pasta, and other dishes properly
✔ Maintain food quality, taste consistency, and presentation
✔ Ensure cleanliness of kitchen tools, cooking stations, and storage areas
✔ Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
✔ Monitor stock levels and report ingredient shortages
✔ Store food items correctly to maintain freshness
✔ Work closely with kitchen team for timely meal service
Requirements:
✔ 2–5 years of cooking / kitchen experience preferred
✔ Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
✔ Understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations
✔ Ability to work under pressure during busy hours
✔ Teamwork and time management skills
✔ Attention to detail in taste and presentation
✔ Physically fit for standing long hours in kitchen operations
