Job Description
A reputed port logistics, shipping terminal, or container handling company in Bulgaria is hiring a skilled Reach Stacker Sea Container Operator to handle loading, unloading, lifting, stacking, and transporting sea containers safely and efficiently within ports, container yards, and logistics terminals. The candidate will be responsible for operating reach stacker equipment, moving loaded and empty containers, performing equipment inspections, and ensuring smooth cargo handling operations according to safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Operate reach stacker machinery to lift, move, stack, and organize sea containers
✔ Load and unload containers from trucks, trailers, and storage yards safely
✔ Stack containers accurately according to yard planning and operational requirements
✔ Inspect reach stacker equipment, hydraulic systems, tyres, brakes, and lifting attachments before operation
✔ Monitor container weight limits, lifting capacity, and machine stability during handling
✔ Coordinate with terminal staff, crane operators, and logistics teams for container movement
✔ Perform routine maintenance checks, lubrication, and report technical faults promptly
✔ Maintain handling records, movement logs, and safety inspection reports
✔ Follow port safety procedures, cargo handling regulations, and workplace standards
✔ Ensure efficient turnaround time for container loading and unloading operations
Requirements:
✔ 2–5 years of experience operating Reach Stacker / Container Handling Equipment
✔ Valid heavy equipment operating license / certification preferred
✔ Knowledge of sea container handling, yard operations, and logistics processes
✔ Experience in ports, shipping terminals, container depots, or freight yards is preferred
✔ Ability to understand load limits, machine controls, and safety procedures
✔ Good coordination and communication skills
✔ Physically fit and comfortable working in outdoor / port environments
