Mechanic Fitter

Job Description

A reputed manufacturing, engineering, or industrial maintenance company in Romania is hiring a skilled Mechanic Fitter to assemble, install, inspect, and maintain mechanical equipment and industrial machinery. The candidate will be responsible for fitting machine parts, aligning mechanical components, repairing faulty systems, and ensuring machinery operates efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate should have hands-on mechanical experience, technical knowledge, and the ability to work with tools, equipment, and maintenance systems in an industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Assemble and fit mechanical parts, components, and industrial equipment
✔ Install machinery according to technical drawings and specifications
✔ Inspect machines and identify mechanical faults or worn-out parts
✔ Repair or replace bearings, shafts, belts, gears, valves, and other components
✔ Perform routine maintenance and preventive servicing on machinery
✔ Align moving parts and ensure smooth machine operation
✔ Use hand tools, measuring tools, cutting tools, and fitting equipment safely
✔ Read technical drawings, manuals, and maintenance instructions
✔ Maintain workshop safety standards and proper housekeeping
✔ Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams for machine uptime

Requirements:

✔ 2–5 years of experience as a Mechanic Fitter / Maintenance Technician
✔ Strong knowledge of machine fitting, assembly, and mechanical repairs
✔ Ability to read engineering drawings and technical manuals
✔ Experience with industrial hand tools and mechanical equipment
✔ Basic understanding of hydraulics / pneumatics is an advantage
✔ Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
✔ Physically fit for workshop / industrial site work
✔ Technical certification / diploma is preferred
