Maths Tutor
Job Description
We are seeking a knowledgeable and patient Maths Tutor to help students strengthen their mathematical skills and improve academic performance. The ideal candidate will provide personalized instruction, clarify complex concepts, and build students’ confidence across various mathematics topics.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one or group tutoring sessions in mathematics
- Teach core math concepts including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus (as applicable)
- Support students with school coursework, homework, and exam preparation
- Develop customized lesson plans based on student level and learning needs
- Assess student progress and provide regular feedback
- Use problem-solving techniques to improve logical thinking and accuracy
- Prepare students for school exams, competitive tests, or standardized assessments
- Maintain lesson records and progress reports
- Create a positive and motivating learning environment
- Communicate with parents or guardians regarding student progress
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Education, or a related field
- 1–4 years of experience as a Maths Tutor or Mathematics Teacher
- Strong command of mathematical concepts and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teaching abilities
- Ability to explain complex topics in a simple and engaging manner
- Patient, supportive, and student-focused approach
Preferred Skills
- Experience teaching CBSE, British, IB, or American curriculum
- Familiarity with exam preparation (SAT, IGCSE, A-Levels, etc.)
- Experience with online tutoring tools and digital whiteboards
- Prior teaching experience in UAE
- Ability to teach multiple grade levels
