Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Network Support Engineer to provide day-to-day support for network systems and IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot network issues, support users, and ensure stable, secure, and efficient network operations across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for LAN, WAN, and wireless network environments
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity, hardware, and system issues
- Configure and support routers, switches, firewalls, and access points
- Monitor network performance and escalate issues when required
- Support installation, configuration, and maintenance of network equipment
- Assist in implementing network security policies and access controls
- Maintain network documentation, logs, and inventory records
- Provide end-user support for network-related issues and IT requests
- Coordinate with vendors and senior engineers for issue resolution
- Follow IT policies, procedures, and best practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
- 2–5 years of experience in IT or network support roles
- Good understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)
- Hands-on experience with networking hardware and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems and basic server environments
- Strong communication and customer-support skills
- Ability to work in shifts or on-call when required
Preferred Skills
- Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent
- Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network security tools
- Knowledge of ticketing systems and IT service management (ITSM)
- Experience working in UAE or GCC IT environments
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
