Job Description

A reputed construction, mining, or industrial equipment company in Romania is hiring a skilled Heavy Machinery Mechanic to inspect, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot heavy equipment used in construction and industrial operations. The candidate will be responsible for servicing excavators, bulldozers, loaders, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy-duty machines, ensuring smooth operation, safety, and maximum equipment uptime. The ideal candidate should have strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on repair experience, and the ability to diagnose hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine issues.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Inspect heavy machinery and identify mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical faults
✔ Perform preventive maintenance, servicing, and routine inspections
✔ Repair diesel engines, hydraulic pumps, brakes, transmission systems, and machine components
✔ Troubleshoot engine performance, fuel systems, and cooling systems
✔ Replace worn-out parts such as belts, filters, hoses, bearings, and seals
✔ Use diagnostic tools and testing equipment to identify technical issues
✔ Maintain service records and report major repair requirements
✔ Ensure machinery complies with operational safety standards
✔ Work with site operators and maintenance teams to reduce downtime
✔ Maintain workshop tools and repair equipment in proper condition

Requirements:

✔ 2–5 years of experience as a Heavy Machinery Mechanic / Diesel Mechanic
✔ Strong knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and repair systems
✔ Experience with hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and electrical troubleshooting
✔ Ability to read technical manuals and repair instructions
✔ Knowledge of workshop safety and maintenance procedures
✔ Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
✔ Physically fit for workshop and field maintenance work
