Data Science Associate
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Science Associate to support data-driven initiatives through analysis, modeling, and reporting. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior data scientists and business teams to extract insights from data and contribute to the development of analytical and machine learning solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and preprocess structured and unstructured data
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends and patterns
- Support development and testing of statistical and machine learning models
- Assist in feature engineering and data transformation
- Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations for stakeholders
- Support data validation, quality checks, and documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements
- Assist in deploying and monitoring analytical models
- Maintain datasets, code repositories, and analytical documentation
- Stay updated with data science tools, techniques, and best practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in data analysis or data science roles
- Strong knowledge of Python and/or R for data analysis
- Experience with SQL and relational databases
- Understanding of statistics, probability, and data modeling concepts
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate insights clearly
Preferred Skills
- Experience with machine learning libraries (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, Seaborn)
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Exposure to big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop)
- Experience working in UAE or GCC markets
