Job Description

OMV Petrom is hiring dedicated and hardworking Water Canal Ground Workers for industrial water management, drainage channel construction, and infrastructure development projects in Romania. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in excavation support, trench preparation, drainage installation, and general ground labor activities related to canal and water infrastructure works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in excavation and trench preparation for canal construction projects
  • Support installation of drainage systems, water pipelines, and canal lining materials
  • Remove soil, debris, and waste materials from work areas
  • Assist heavy equipment operators during digging, grading, and leveling work
  • Carry out manual ground compaction and surface leveling
  • Load, unload, and organize construction materials and tools on-site
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety at the worksite
  • Follow supervisor instructions and company safety protocols
  • Coordinate with engineers, machine operators, and project teams for smooth execution

Requirements

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in construction ground work / excavation / drainage projects
  • Basic knowledge of canal construction and water infrastructure work preferred
  • Ability to work in physically demanding outdoor environments
  • Experience using hand tools and construction equipment is an advantage
  • Basic English communication skills preferred
  • Team player with strong work ethic and safety awareness
