Job Description

Aktor is hiring skilled and hardworking Water Infrastructure Ground Workers for large-scale canal development, drainage network construction, flood control systems, and civil engineering projects in Romania. The ideal candidate should have practical experience in excavation support, trench preparation, canal lining work, drainage installation, and general ground labor related to water infrastructure development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in excavation, trench digging, and site preparation for canal and drainage projects
  • Support installation of water pipelines, drainage channels, and canal lining systems
  • Carry out manual leveling, compaction, and backfilling of soil
  • Remove debris, loose soil, and waste materials from work areas
  • Assist machine operators during digging, grading, and earthmoving operations
  • Load, unload, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment on-site
  • Help prepare foundations for water management structures and underground systems
  • Maintain cleanliness, discipline, and safety at the construction site
  • Follow supervisor instructions and coordinate with engineers and site teams for smooth project execution

Requirements

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in construction ground work / excavation / drainage / canal projects
  • Basic knowledge of trenching, drainage systems, and civil construction practices preferred
  • Physically fit for heavy outdoor construction work
  • Ability to operate basic construction hand tools safely
  • Basic English communication skills preferred
  • Strong teamwork, reliability, and safety awareness
  • Experience in infrastructure or utility projects is an advantage
