Job Description

Electrica is hiring experienced and reliable Drainage Canal Workers for underground utility drainage systems, stormwater canal construction, and civil infrastructure projects in Romania. The ideal candidate should have practical experience in excavation support, canal preparation, drainage installation, and site labor activities related to water flow and drainage management systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in excavation, trench digging, and ground preparation for drainage canal construction
  • Support installation of drainage pipes, stormwater channels, and canal lining systems
  • Remove soil, debris, and construction waste from work areas
  • Assist machine operators during grading, leveling, and digging operations
  • Perform manual compaction, backfilling, and surface finishing work
  • Load, unload, and arrange construction materials and equipment on-site
  • Inspect drainage pathways and ensure proper water flow alignment
  • Maintain workplace cleanliness and follow all company safety procedures
  • Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and project teams for smooth site execution

Requirements

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in drainage construction / canal work / civil ground labor
  • Basic understanding of trenching, excavation, and drainage systems preferred
  • Physically fit for heavy outdoor construction work
  • Experience handling construction hand tools and site equipment is an advantage
  • Basic English communication skills preferred
  • Strong teamwork, discipline, and safety awareness
