Job Description

Grantmetal is hiring skilled Welding & Steel Structure Technicians for industrial steel fabrication and metal structure projects in Romania. The company has a long industrial history in metal processing and fabrication, supporting construction and engineering sectors with specialized steel solutions.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in welding, steel assembly, structural fitting, and fabrication work according to technical drawings and engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG / MAG / ARC welding on steel structures and fabricated components
  • Assemble steel beams, frames, columns, and metal structural parts
  • Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
  • Cut, grind, drill, and fit metal components accurately
  • Inspect welded joints for strength, finish, and dimensional accuracy
  • Operate welding machines, grinders, cutting equipment, and fabrication tools safely
  • Support fabrication, installation, and workshop assembly operations
  • Follow industrial safety procedures and quality control standards
  • Coordinate with production and engineering teams for project completion

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in welding / steel fabrication / metal structure work
  • Experience in MIG, MAG, TIG, or ARC welding preferred
  • Knowledge of steel assembly and structural fitting techniques
  • Ability to read technical drawings and work measurements accurately
  • Experience with industrial fabrication machines and workshop tools
  • Physically fit for industrial and workshop-based work
  • Basic English communication skills preferred
  • Welding certification is an advantage
  • Strong teamwork and safety awareness
  • Valid driving license is a plus
