Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Network Support Engineer to provide technical support, maintain network infrastructure, and ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot network and system issues, support users, and help maintain secure, reliable IT services across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first- and second-level support for network and IT-related issues
- Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN, routers, switches, and wireless networks
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues
- Support server, desktop, printer, and peripheral setups
- Assist with firewall, VPN, and basic network security configurations
- Respond to IT tickets, incidents, and service requests in a timely manner
- Perform routine system checks, backups, and preventive maintenance
- Maintain IT inventory, documentation, and network diagrams
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers when required
- Support system upgrades, patches, and technology rollouts
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
- 2–5 years of experience in IT or network support roles
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)
- Hands-on experience with routers, switches, and Wi-Fi equipment
- Familiarity with Windows Server, Active Directory, and desktop support
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Skills
- Experience in UAE or GCC IT environments
- Knowledge of firewall devices, network security basics, and VPNs
- Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent
- Experience with virtualization or cloud services (basic level)
- Good communication skills and customer-service mindset
