Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Reporting Engineer to lead the preparation, analysis, and presentation of project performance data and reports. The role involves managing complex data sets, ensuring accuracy, and delivering timely insights to support project control, planning, and management teams. The ideal candidate will have strong technical, analytical, and reporting skills with experience in large-scale engineering or infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and automate project reporting dashboards and templates using relevant tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel, Primavera).
  • Consolidate and validate project data from multiple departments including engineering, procurement, and construction.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc performance reports highlighting key metrics such as progress, cost, and schedule variance.
  • Analyze trends and provide insights to support project management decisions.
  • Coordinate with project planners, cost controllers, and site engineers to ensure data integrity and consistency.
  • Support project reviews and presentations for senior management and clients.
  • Identify areas of reporting improvement and implement best practices for data management.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate reporting standards and client requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial) or related discipline.
  • 5–8 years of experience in project reporting, data analytics, or project controls in engineering or construction industries.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced), Power BI, Primavera P6, and database management tools.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and data visualization skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in EPC or infrastructure projects in the GCC region preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of project management frameworks (PMI, PRINCE2).
  • Familiarity with ERP or project management software (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Experience in automating reports and dashboards for executive summaries.
