Lab Associate

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lab Associate to support laboratory operations including testing, sample preparation, equipment handling, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate should be familiar with standard laboratory procedures, safety protocols, and quality control requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, label, and prepare samples for lab testing.
• Conduct routine laboratory tests following established procedures and standards.
• Operate laboratory instruments and ensure proper maintenance and calibration.
• Record and analyze test results accurately and report findings to supervisors.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of lab equipment, tools, and workstations.
• Assist in inventory management and procurement of lab supplies.
• Follow safety guidelines including proper handling and disposal of chemicals and biological materials.
• Support senior lab technicians and scientists in ongoing research or operational projects.
• Ensure compliance with quality assurance and regulatory policies.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Science, Laboratory Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a relevant field.
• 1–3 years of experience working in a laboratory environment (medical, chemical, food, or industrial lab).
• Strong knowledge of lab safety standards and good laboratory practices (GLP).
• Basic understanding of laboratory instruments and data recording.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
• Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
• Computer proficiency (MS Office; lab software knowledge is a plus).
