Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic IT Manager to lead and oversee the organization’s IT operations in Umm Al Quwain. The ideal candidate will manage IT infrastructure, ensure system security, support digital transformation initiatives, and supervise the IT team to deliver reliable technical services across the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily IT operations, including networks, systems, hardware, and software.
  • Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Manage IT projects, upgrades, and new technology implementations.
  • Ensure system security through firewalls, antivirus, backup, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of IT services.
  • Manage and mentor IT staff, providing guidance and performance feedback.
  • Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and consultants for IT services and procurement.
  • Prepare and manage IT budgets, including forecasting and cost optimization.
  • Assess and recommend technology solutions to improve business processes.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection, cybersecurity standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support users with complex IT issues and provide advanced technical expertise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT leadership, system administration, or network management.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, servers, and cybersecurity.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with IT budgeting, asset management, and vendor coordination.

Preferred Skills

  • Professional certifications such as ITIL, PMP, CCNA/CCNP, or Microsoft certifications.
  • Experience in ERP systems, business software, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
  • Understanding of database management and backup solutions.
  • Strong analytical thinking and change-management abilities.
