Health, Safety & Compliance Officer
Job Description
We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Health, Safety & Compliance Officer to oversee workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and risk management across our operations in Dubai. The ideal candidate will ensure that the organization meets all UAE labour laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.
- Identify potential hazards and recommend preventive or corrective measures.
- Ensure compliance with local and international safety regulations and company standards.
- Prepare safety training materials and conduct employee training programs.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare detailed reports and action plans.
- Maintain accurate safety documentation, permits, and compliance records.
- Liaise with local authorities, auditors, and management on HSE matters.
- Promote safety awareness and compliance among all staff members.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an HSE or Compliance Officer (preferably in UAE).
- NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA certification or equivalent qualification required.
- In-depth knowledge of UAE HSE laws, risk management, and ISO standards (e.g., ISO 45001).
- Strong communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
