Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Head Chef to lead our airline catering operations. The ideal candidate will oversee meal production, ensure the highest standards of food quality and safety, and manage kitchen teams to deliver exceptional catering services to airlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and supervise the preparation of meals for airline passengers.
  • Ensure food is prepared in compliance with airline quality, hygiene, and safety standards.
  • Lead, train, and manage kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants.
  • Develop and customize menus according to airline requirements, dietary restrictions, and passenger preferences.
  • Monitor inventory, manage food costs, and minimize waste.
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP and other food safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with logistics and catering teams to guarantee timely meal delivery.
  • Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Monitor kitchen operations to maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Head Chef, preferably in airline catering or large-scale catering operations.
  • Strong knowledge of international cuisine and dietary requirements.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in high-volume catering operations.
  • Familiarity with airline catering standards and procedures.
  • Creativity in menu planning and recipe development.
  • Knowledge of kitchen budgeting, procurement, and cost control.
