Data Science Manager
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Data Science Manager to lead our data science and analytics efforts, turning data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. The ideal candidate will oversee the design, development, and deployment of advanced analytics, machine learning models, and data-driven solutions while managing a team of data scientists and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, analysts, and machine learning engineers
- Define data science strategy aligned with business goals
- Design, develop, and deploy predictive models and analytical solutions
- Translate business requirements into data science initiatives
- Ensure quality, scalability, and performance of data products
- Collaborate with IT, engineering, product, and business teams
- Present insights, dashboards, and reports to senior leadership
- Monitor emerging data science trends, tools, and technologies
- Establish best practices for model development, validation, and governance
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
- 7–12 years of experience in data science, analytics, or related roles
- Proven leadership or people-management experience
- Strong experience with Python/R, ML frameworks, and SQL
- Hands-on experience with machine learning, predictive modeling, and AI tools
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience in UAE or GCC markets
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop)
- Familiarity with BI and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Experience managing cross-functional analytics initiatives
