Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our airline catering operations. The ideal candidate will oversee meal preparation, ensure the highest standards of food quality and safety, and manage a team to deliver exceptional catering services for airlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and supervise the preparation of meals for airline passengers.
- Ensure food is prepared in accordance with strict airline quality, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Manage and train kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants.
- Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage food cost and wastage efficiently.
- Develop menus in collaboration with airlines, considering dietary restrictions and passenger preferences.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP and other food safety regulations.
- Coordinate with logistics and catering teams to ensure timely delivery of meals.
- Maintain kitchen equipment and facilities in excellent working condition.
- Monitor kitchen operations to maintain consistent quality and presentation standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Head Chef, preferably in airline catering or large-scale food production.
- Strong knowledge of international cuisine and dietary requirements.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with high-volume catering operations.
- Familiarity with airline catering standards and regulations.
- Creativity in menu planning and recipe development.
- Knowledge of kitchen budgeting and cost control.
