Job Description

VMZ Sopot is hiring skilled and experienced Turner / Miller Operators for precision machining, metal cutting, component shaping, and industrial manufacturing operations in Bulgaria. The ideal candidate should have practical experience in operating lathe machines, milling machines, cutting tools, and precision measurement equipment for producing high-quality metal components used in industrial and engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate lathe machines, milling machines, and precision cutting equipment safely and efficiently
  • Perform turning, milling, drilling, boring, threading, and finishing operations on metal components
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, machining blueprints, and technical specifications
  • Set up machines, select cutting tools, and adjust machine settings according to production requirements
  • Measure finished components using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and precision measuring instruments
  • Monitor machine performance and ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards are maintained
  • Perform basic machine maintenance, lubrication, and cleaning of equipment
  • Identify machining defects and make necessary corrections during production
  • Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain cleanliness in the machining area
  • Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and production teams for smooth manufacturing operations

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Turner / Miller / CNC Machinist / Lathe Operator / Milling Machine Operator
  • Strong knowledge of machining operations, cutting tools, and metalworking techniques
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and technical machining plans
  • Experience using measuring instruments such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and gauges
  • Basic knowledge of CNC operation is an advantage
  • Physically fit for factory and workshop working environments
  • Basic English communication skills preferred
  • Team player with strong work ethic and attention to detail
