Vulcanizer (Tyre Fixer)

Job Description

A reputed automotive service center, tyre workshop, or fleet maintenance company in Romania is hiring a skilled Vulcanizer (Tyre Fixer) to inspect, repair, replace, and maintain tyres for passenger vehicles, commercial trucks, and heavy-duty equipment. The candidate will be responsible for puncture repair, tyre fitting, balancing, alignment assistance, and vulcanizing damaged tyres using professional repair techniques and equipment. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in tyre servicing, safety inspection, and workshop operations.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Inspect tyres for punctures, cuts, wear, and sidewall damage
✔ Repair punctured or damaged tyres using vulcanizing and patching techniques
✔ Remove old tyres and fit new tyres on rims using tyre-changing equipment
✔ Balance wheels and assist with wheel alignment procedures
✔ Check tyre pressure, tread depth, and overall tyre condition
✔ Repair tube tyres, tubeless tyres, and heavy vehicle tyres when required
✔ Operate tyre repair machines, air compressors, balancing machines, and workshop tools safely
✔ Recommend tyre replacement when repair is not safe or possible
✔ Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the tyre workshop
✔ Follow workplace safety procedures while handling tools and machinery

Requirements:

✔ 1–3 years of experience in tyre repair / vulcanizing work
✔ Knowledge of tyre fitting, balancing, puncture repair, and vulcanizing methods
✔ Ability to use tyre-changing tools and repair equipment
✔ Basic understanding of wheel alignment and vehicle tyre safety
✔ Physically fit for lifting tyres and workshop work
✔ Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
✔ Teamwork attitude and willingness to work flexible shifts
