Steel Welder – Construction
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Steel Welder to support construction projects by performing high-quality welding and fabrication of steel structures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for welding steel components according to drawings and specifications while ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding works on structural steel, rebar, and metal components
- Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications
- Carry out welding using approved techniques (ARC, MIG, TIG as required)
- Ensure weld quality meets project and industry standards
- Inspect welded joints and correct defects when identified
- Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Maintain welding tools, machines, and equipment in good condition
- Coordinate with supervisors and site teams to meet work schedules
- Assist in steel fabrication, cutting, grinding, and fitting activities
- Comply with site safety, quality, and environmental regulations
Required Qualifications
- Technical certification or vocational training in welding
- 2–5 years of experience as a steel welder in construction projects
- Experience in structural steel and rebar welding
- Ability to read welding symbols and construction drawings
- Knowledge of welding safety standards and procedures
- Physically fit and able to work on construction sites
Preferred Skills
- Valid welding certification (AWS, CSWIP, or equivalent)
- Experience with high-rise, infrastructure, or industrial projects
- Knowledge of UAE construction safety regulations
- Experience working in UAE or GCC construction markets
